The theme was "Change - the next step is ours" and the schools involved were from Back Plains, Clifton, Emu Creek, Greenmount, Leyburn, Nobby and Ryeford.

NAIDOC Week is an annual event to celebrate the history, culture and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.

REGIONAL PHOTOGRAPHY PROJECT EXHIBITION

The Regional Photography Project Exhibition was displayed at the Clifton Library Gallery during June, 2011.

The selected works are the result of the photography workshops conducted in October and November, 2010 by the Toowoomba-based professional photographer John Elliot. The workshops were held at Cambooya, Millmerran, Goombungee,Cabarlah, Oakey and Toowoomba.

The above photograph features a few of the excellent works.

Our staff in the Clifton Library were frequently visited by the viewers who wanted to express how impressed they were with the technical quality and interesting subject matter of the photographs.

The Regional Photography Project, supported by the Regional Arts Development Fund, is on tour and the exhibition will be on display at the Toowoomba Regional Art Gallery from June 30 until July, 2011.
